From a Life in Business to a Life in Art

Born in Iran and living in the United States since 1992, my journey has moved through many worlds. I spent 15 years in the high-tech industry working in product management and marketing, then after the dot-com era, I followed another creative path and built my own wedding and event-planning business in 2008.
Through all those years, Persian calligraphy was always quietly waiting in the background — a passion I kept telling myself I would return to “someday” when life became less busy.
Someday finally arrived.
Today, Yass Art is where my experiences, heritage and creativity come together. I take inspiration from traditional Persian calligraphy, poetry, texture, fashion, and design and reinterpret them through a contemporary lens — in paintings, mixed media, jewelry, art to wear, and objects for the home.
My goal is not simply to preserve tradition, but to let it live in a modern world — with a modern twist, while keeping its soul.
